Conditional Warranty Policy

Conditional Warranty Policy

Our warranty is a one time, in-store credit, worth half the total value of the plant material for one year after date of purchase. This does not include the cost of delivery and planting.

Kiwi Nurseries assumes 50% responsibility by providing customers with healthy plant material. The remaining responsibility is placed on the individual for the proper care and watering of all plants after time of purchase.

Warranty items will not be looked at nor redeemed until after May 31st to ensure they have enough time to do their thing as all plants, like people, are different and start budding out at different times. Updated pictures will be required if submitting warranty claims prior to June 1st.

There is no warranty on the following types of plant material:

  • Perennials
  • Annuals and Vegetables
  • Planters and Hanging Baskets
  • Indoor Plants
  • Seeds
  • Rhododendrons and Azaleas
  • Cedars
  • Bare root plants
  • All discounted/wholesale items

No warranty is provided for the following:

  • Items damaged by animals
  • Items damaged by machinery
  • Improper planting procedures
  • Planted or overwintered in planters/pots
  • Third party damage
  • Drowning (this includes):
    • Standing water
    • Septic or sump pump drainage
    • Overwatering
  • If landscape fabric is laid over top of the root ball.
  • If plant material is planted within the drip line of the tree.

To redeem your warranty:

Please email us at [email protected] to get advice, as your plant may still be alive. Please provide pictures of the plant material, so that we can determine the possible cause of sickness/death. If a Kiwi associate advises the use of your warranty after giving advice/reviewing pictures, we require proof of purchase (your original invoice).

Do not remove your tree before talking to us!

Plants are living things and their survival depends upon the care that you provide. We are more than happy to provide our customers with information on proper planting and maintenance techniques. Feel free to call with any questions or concerns, our staff is eager to help.
