A cold hardy, native, multistem deciduous shrub with an upright, spreading habit of growth. Single pink blooms with yellow centre on attractive prickly stems. Blooms mid to late spring only. To encourage re-blooming, dead-heading is recommended. Produces an abundance of red hips in late summer. These add a fall interest. Ideal for small landscapes. Features dark green foliage throughout the season, turning to a yellow color in fall.
