A large, native, multistem deciduous shrub with an upright, spreading habit of growth. Large silver catkins appear in late winter/early spring before the leaves. Flowers are excellent for cutting. One of the first plants to blooms in northern climates. Features long, shiny, bluish-green leaves, with white undersides throughout the season.
