A dense single or multistem deciduous shrub with a more or less rounded form. A neat, compact form. Features wine red foliage throughout the season, darkening to a deep purple color in fall. Small pink-white blooms from late spring to early summer. Pink-white color is a nice contrast against the dark leaves. A very adaptable plant that tolerates a variety of soil conditions.
